The Cracked Reader (Lite) App Reviews

This is is so buggy and poorly coded its ridiculous. Not only did the app crash on me three times in five minutes, at one point the app overrode the home button and power button so I couldnt navigate out of the app! This is is very, very unstable and can barely support its own content. I suggest viewing Cracked through a web browser instead, its much more stable that way.

This app has always given me problems. From difficulty reading photoplasties to constantly crashing. As of the latest update, the app wont even launch without crashing.

I lose hours once I open this app, because I cant stop reading. ☺️ The only thing missing is a search feature.

If you are reading an article and use another app and come back, it opens to the home page. Very annoying. Also, many articles wont open on the app. Needs some improvements.

Very funny

I used to love this app. The content Cracked puts out is great & keeps me laughing. Something changed recently and now I cant stand using the app. Pop up adds appear every 10-15 seconds which ruins my reading experience. This drives me completely insane. Im uninstalling the app because of this. Gifs dont load in Photoplasty making those pages totally unusable. Its disappointing because this section is my favorite. Dudes. Please fix this crap. Please.

I love cracked.com and have always loved using the app. But lately it crashes pretty much every time I use it. The screen freezes and I have to force quit. There are other times that it locks up my whole phone for a bit.

Always crashes! I can barely get past the first part of an article. So just go on a web browser..... To have it crash there. I cant even get it to work on my desktop! Firefox and whatever other browser you can think of makes no difference. Im not mad just disappointed.

Ive seen no issues, and I love Cracked.

The app is a bit more data hungry than the old version, but runs videos and photoplasties much smoother. Still a staple app for me.

this app used to be good until the ads got unbearable. the chive app - small banner ad at the bottom. this ad? suddenly full screen launches an ad, losing your place in the article or crashing the app. also lets not forget the constant redirects into your app store to force you to stare at candy crush or whatever hellish app theyre marketing that day. i see more ads than articles in this app

Needs more work on several aspects like crashes and other things

The content is great, the UI is a bit buggy ( like submit feedback function has no submit button ). But over the past few months the ad system on the paid version has gotten out of control. Opening up app store and losing where you were in the article every 20-25 seconds makes the app unusable.

Much as I love Crackeds content, this app has become absolutely inaccessible due to constant redirects to ads and the App Store. Without exaggeration, Id say at max, I get about 10-20 seconds of reading time before being redirected. Id love to be able to amend this review when a good faith effort to solve this problem is made! I

Cannot get through a single article without at least 3 ads popping up and taking me out of the app.

I love Cracked.com and read their articles constantly, but this app freezes and/or crashes at least two or three times before I can finish even one article. It only functions for 2 or 3 minutes at a time. Ive resorted to just reading the articles in a browser, but forcing a new page load for each entry in a listicle is super annoying and data heavy. I hope this app is fixed soon.
